CDM Advisory Services to Clients, Principal Designers and Principal Contractors

 

We can provide advice and assistance to Clients, Principal Designers and Principal Contractors to help them comply with their duties under health and safety law. Set out below are examples of services we offer:

 

• Site specific project health and safety advice.

• Ensuring that Clients are fully aware and understand their own responsibilities under CDM 2015.

• Principal Designer activities

• Tender stage health and safety advice including Contractor assessment.

• Notification of construction projects to the Health & Safety Executive (F10)

• Production of Pre-Construction Information including advise on asbestos surveys, site-specific hazards etc. 

• Production and/or reviews of Construction phase plans and risk assessments.

• Review the welfare arrangements for your project.

• Attendance at design team meetings and offering CDM and health and safety expertise – assisting Designers to identify health and safety risks and to provide advice and guidance on the ‘principles of prevention’, a hierarchy of risk elimination and reduction.

• Liaising with the Principal Contractor for the duration of the Principal Designer’s appointment and sharing with the Principal Contractor information relevant to the planning, management and monitoring of the construction phase and the coordination of health and safety matters during the construction phase

• Preparation of the health and safety file, appropriate to the characteristics of the Project which must contain information relating to the Project which is likely to be needed during any subsequent project to ensure the health and safety of any person.

• Health and safety site inspections.

• Production of Site induction and health and safety templates for use on site.
